Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Zone Air website (zone-air.com) and purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or purchase our products.

Products and Services

Zone Air manufactures and sells DIY ductless mini-split HVAC systems, linesets, and related accessories. All product descriptions, specifications, and pricing are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to:

• Limit quantities of products available for purchase
• Refuse service to anyone for any reason
• Discontinue products at any time
• Modify product specifications and features

Ordering and Payment

When you place an order through our website:

• You certify that all information provided is accurate and complete
• Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase via approved payment methods
• We use Stripe for secure payment processing
• Prices are in US dollars and do not include applicable taxes or shipping fees
• We reserve the right to cancel orders due to pricing errors, product unavailability, or suspected fraud

Shipping and Delivery

We ship to addresses within the 48 contiguous United States. Shipping times vary by location, and shipping is free. See our Shipping Policy for detailed information.

Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or circumstances beyond our control.

Returns and Refunds

We offer a 30-day return policy on uninstalled products. To be eligible for a return:

• Products must be uninstalled, unused, and undamaged, and returned in the original manufacturer's box with all components (the box may be opened; returns without the original box are not eligible for a refund)
• You must initiate the return within 30 days of delivery
• A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required before any return; we book the return freight
• Proof of purchase is required
• Buyer's-remorse refunds are the item price minus a flat 25% restocking fee and the actual return shipping cost; missing components are deducted at replacement cost
• Wrong-size exchanges carry a flat 10% exchange fee, which covers shipping both ways; any price difference between the units is added or refunded (applies once the replacement order ships)
• Systems that have been connected, powered on, installed, or operated cannot be returned; defective units remain covered by the Limited Warranty

Warranty

Zone Air products come with a 5-year parts warranty and a 7-year compressor warranty for the original purchaser (proof of purchase required). Warranty claims are subject to our Warranty Policy terms and conditions.

Warranties are void if:

• The product was not installed according to our instructions
• The product was modified or repaired by unauthorized personnel
• The product was damaged due to misuse, abuse, or negligence
• The product was relocated from its original installation address

DIY Installation Disclaimer

Our products are designed for DIY installation. However:

• You are responsible for ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations
• Electrical work may require a licensed electrician depending on local laws
• We are not responsible for damages resulting from improper installation
• Following our installation guides and instructions is essential for proper operation and warranty coverage
• You assume all risks associated with DIY installation

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zone Air shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Zone Air and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use our website for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with other users' use of the website

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our website and services constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
